St. Lawrence Academy follows the academic calendar set by the Government of South Sudan, Ministry of General Education and Instruction. All term dates, examinations, and school closures listed below are for the 2026 academic year.

St. Lawrence Academy observes all officially declared public holidays of the Republic of South Sudan. The school will be closed on these dates.
1 January — New Year's Day: Public holiday, school closed.
22 February — Nile Day: National holiday celebrating the River Nile.
8 March — International Women's Day: Public holiday.
20 March — Eid al-Fitr: End of Ramadan, 20–22 March 2026, subject to moon sighting.
3 April — Good Friday: Easter holiday, school closed.
4 April — Holy Saturday: Easter holiday, school closed.
5 April — Easter Sunday: Easter holiday, school closed.
6 April — Easter Monday: Easter holiday, school closed.
1 May — International Labour Day: Public holiday.
16 May — SPLA Day: Anniversary of the founding of the SPLA, 1983.
27 May — Eid al-Adha: Feast of the Sacrifice, 27–28 May 2026, subject to moon sighting.
9 July — Independence Day: Republic of South Sudan independence, 2011.
30 July — Martyrs' Day: In honour of Dr. John Garang and South Sudan's fallen heroes.
24 December — Christmas Eve: Public holiday, school closed.
25 December — Christmas Day: Public holiday, school closed.
26 December — Christmas Holiday: Second day of Christmas, school closed.
Internal assessments run every term. National examinations follow the schedule set by the South Sudan National Examinations Council (SSNEC).
All classes — structured end-of-term examinations set and marked internally.
Upper primary students sit mock papers under examination conditions to prepare for the national PLE.
Secondary students sit mock SSCSE papers across all subjects with full examination conditions.
National examination administered by the South Sudan National Examinations Council (SSNEC).
National secondary examination — results determine university and professional training entry.
Term dates and examination schedules are confirmed by the Ministry of General Education and Instruction and may be subject to change. Families are notified through school notices and the newsletter when dates are confirmed or updated.
